Cottage Weekend: Dragonfly

Ever since I got to the dock, there has been dragonflies hanging around. Is it the same one? I have no idea. I know that dragonflies entrance me and so, here I am googling dragonfly meanings and associations.
What I have found:

————————————————————

“The dragonfly, in almost every part of the world symbolizes change and change in the perspective of self realization; and the kind of change that has its source in mental and emotional maturity and the understanding of the deeper meaning of life.”

————————————————————

The dragonfly totem carries the wisdom of transformation and adaptability in life. As spirit animal, the dragonfly is connected to the symbolism of change and light. When the dragonfly shows up in your life, it may remind you to bring a bit more lightness and joy into your life. Those who have this animal as totem may be inclined to delve deep into their emotions and shine their true colors.

What I’m gathering is that, as I seem to be he only one noticing the dragonfly that keeps hanging around, I’ve either achieved a change in my spirituality or mental state or need to make one.

Personally I think I’ve been making great progress in these areas and I feel now that noticing the dragonfly is a statement saying I have been on the right path. Something I’ve never considered before but am suddenly wanting is a dragonfly tattoo.
You should never stop changing and growing. The dragonfly is a great constant reminder of this. Especially in the summer when there are numerous ones about. It’s hard to be reminded of this in the winter when there are none around, even in the summer one may not ever see them. Today we have seen a lot (or the same one) of dragonfly(ies) and they have been huge, therefore a large symbol of change and inner growth.
If you’ve seen a lot of them recently I encourage you to look up more meanings and see if they speak to you, as they have spoken to me.
